What are the system requirements?
It’s easy to use our name change service! You simply need to use Adobe Acrobat Reader version 7.0 or higher. Adobe Acrobat Reader allows you to save your auto-completed name change forms and print them. If you have any questions related to downloading Adobe Reader please give us a buzz at 1-800-301-9296.
How much time will MissNowMrs.com save me vs. changing my name on my own?
MissNowMrs saves each customer an average of 13 hours of form research, completion and filing mishaps! We have spent years researching the forms and inside filing tips for each U.S. Government and State agency. You are welcome to change your maiden name on your own. But we highly recommend using our name change service, app, and expertise to save HOURS of time and frustration!
Is my personal information safe?
MissNowMrs treats your information like it’s our own. Using your unique email and password, only you can access your information, which is stored in encrypted format. MissNowMrs also uses Secure Socket Layer technology to encrypt your data prior to it passing from your browser to our web server. We have passed rigorous security testing and continue to be monitored daily for your safety. Should you still not want to provide certain personal information you always have the option to skip questions and hand-write that information on your forms.
What documents do I need to answer MissNowMrs questions?
We advise having your state driver’s license, your spouse’s driver’s license, U.S. passport, and vehicle title/registration in front of you to answer our questions. Feel free to compile these before you start, or simply go back and add in answers when you have them.
Do I have to complete all of my Name Change forms at once?
MissNowMrs customers have six months of unlimited access to their accounts. So, you can complete your name change forms at your own pace. When you want to access your account, click on our Login link and then enter your email/password to pick up where you left off.
What if I don’t need all of the forms you provide?
You do you! MissNowMrs customers are welcome to click the Skip button to move past any questions and name change forms that do not pertain to their particular situation.
What if I Need My Name Change Kit Re-printed or re-shipped?
No problem! Simply let us know if you need your kit reshipped. It’s $5 to cover postage. If you need your kit reprinted and reshipped our $15 fee covers all new forms, new postage, and shipping.
How will I know when my Maiden name has been changed?
After you have printed, signed and filed your forms you will begin to receive your new identification documents in the mail. Your maiden name is officially and legally changed when you receive your new Social Security card, Driver’s License, and U.S. Passport with your new last name printed on them. You’re going to feel amazing!
Will I need certified copies of my marriage certificate?
Many name change forms require a certified marriage certificate to be included as proof of name change when they are filed. We suggest requesting 2-3 certified copies of your marriage certificate so you can file multiple name change forms at the same time.
What if I’m changing my name and moving? Will your service help with both of these?
MissNowMrs can absolutely help you change your name and address at the same time! All of the state and federal forms have spots to put your new, and old name and address, so you can update all of these agencies simultaneously. Two birds, one stone!
Do I need to fill out name change forms if I am hyphenating my last name?
Absolutely! Name change forms need to be filed to notify the U.S. government and your state of hyphenation or any change of last or middle names due to marriage.

What is the difference between married name change and legal name change?
The married name-change process involves filing a series of state and U.S. government name-change forms using your certified marriage certificate as your legal proof of marriage. If you’re not getting married, but want to change your name you will need to petition the U.S. court system for a name- change order. We recommend using our partner LegalZoom.com to obtain your name-change court order to begin your legal name-change process.
Can I use your service or App before my wedding?
You are welcome to use our service to complete your forms/letters before your marriage, but you will need to wait to file them until after you are married and have received your certified marriage certificate in the mail. Kudos to you for being so organized!
